We've been working on Vufolio for almost two years. Today, we're finally ready to share it with the world.
Why we built it
We spent a long time using other social platforms — posting photos, building audiences, watching the metrics go up and down. And slowly, over time, we noticed something: the experience of sharing had become anxiety-inducing instead of joyful.
Every post became a small performance. You'd tweak the caption for engagement. Post at the right time. Use the right hashtags. And even then, you never knew whether your content would reach the people who actually followed you.
We wanted something different. A platform where the act of sharing a photo felt like handing someone a postcard — personal, intentional, and free from the noise of trending topics and viral metrics.
That's Vufolio.
What makes it different
Chronological by default. Your feed shows you posts from the people you follow, in the order they were posted. No algorithm deciding what you "should" see.
Carousels that tell stories. You can post up to 10 photos or videos in a single post. Tell the full story of a hike, a trip, a project. Not just the highlight reel.
Stories that disappear. Share the raw, unfiltered moments that don't need to live forever. Your stories vanish after 24 hours, so you can be real without the pressure of permanence.
Private accounts done right. If you want to control your audience, you can. When your account is private, every follow request comes to you for approval. No exceptions.
For creators and everyone else
We've thought a lot about who Vufolio is for. The honest answer: it's for anyone who loves sharing visuals and wants to connect with people around that.
Photographers. Travelers. Foodies. Artists. Parents who want to share moments with family without broadcasting to the entire internet.
You don't need to be a "creator" to belong here. You just need to want to share something.
What comes next
Vufolio is launching in public beta today. That means the core experience is here — feed, profiles, stories, explore, messages — but there's a lot more on the roadmap.
We're working on:
- Better discovery tools for finding creators you'll love
- Collaborative albums for group travel and events
- More powerful editing tools built directly into the app
- An API for third-party integrations
We're building in public. If you have ideas, feedback, or requests, our inbox is open.
Welcome to Vufolio. We can't wait to see what you share.
